Our classroom is a Conscious Discipline classroom. We believe in helping each other strive to be a school family every day. My job is to keep the kids safe, and it is their job to help keep it that way.
We are an energetic, rural, high poverty Kindergarten classroom.
We realize that what we do each day helps us work toward our class mission of getting as ready as possible for first grade. We work toward a goal of self-motivation rather than reward-oriented goals.
My Project
We eat breakfast in our classroom daily. 18 five years olds with milk, juice, cereal means accidental spills each day
We are requesting the paper towels and wipes which will help us stay clean and sanitary.
Learning how to clean up your own messes equals priceless independent skills.
The scissors will help me cut out all items for learning workstations. We need our workstations changed out at least every other week, that equals a lot of printing, cutting, and laminating, The sensory bin items provide continuous learning opportunities. The kids so love searching for the letters or words placed among the water beads to provide stimulating learning stations.
