My Students
My young scholars are from East Point, GA and are apart of the RISE Grammar school which has a focus on Social Justice. My scholars all come from a diverse socio-economic background ranging from those who arrive to school in a Tesla and those who use our bus service. My job has allowed me the opportunity to find meaningful ways to find value and blend our experiences together.
Our scholars are the heartbeat of our school.
Our scholars were recently recognized for their role in our county's Stock Market Games. Our scholars have proven that their desire to "RISE" has surpassed any deficiency their circumstances have dealt them. Our scholars are determined and they are driven.
My Project
This school year is layered with all types of challenges from maintaining a safe social distance to managing online platforms. My students are going through a lot in regards to the pandemic. One thing I do not want to them to worry about is their safety.
Student safety in my classroom is my top priority.
I would appreciate whatever can be donated in order for me to secure the peace of mind and health of my students. COVID has changed the world as we know it, but my commitment to student safety will remain steadfast.
