Sandy Affected Special Needs Students Need to Share

My students need an Epson printer, Epson ink, and copy paper to print their wonderful work. My students need a laminator and laminating pouches to preserve their work.

My Students

Do you remember writing a wonderful report and the printer didn't work or you ran out of ink? My students face this dilemma daily.

I teach 12 wonderful and motivated special needs kindergarten, first and second grade students located in Hurricane Sandy Zone A (Lower East Side).

They have a desire to write, publish and share their work with their peers and family. Positive reinforcement helps my students flourish and want to continue to learn. The ability to print their work and share with their families has a positive outcome in their lives.

My Project

Many of my students have working parents and they aren't always able to attend publishing parties held at school. The ability for the children to share their hard work with their family at the end of the unit brings their school experience home and reinforces what they learn on a daily basis. Protecting their work, allows the students to go back and see how they have grown over the school year.

An Epson printer, ink, copy paper and a laminator are tools for successful learning and growth.

These items also provide a link between school and home. Help us maintain a good school/home relationship.
