We will be able to use a refrigerator to store our ingredients for our sandwich-making project and healthy drinks to go with them.
Our goal is to teach special education students with significant cognitive deficits to be more independent with their functional living skills.
Through this project, students will learn to select ingredients for their sandwiches, select a bread type, and learn how to assemble their own sandwiches. They will also learn additional functional living skills to include, personal hygiene, washing and drying dishes, cleaning their work area, and storing food properly.
Our students are special because despite their problems they always try hard and love to do fun activities and projects.
