This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of the smartest, little learners in my entire school! They come from different backgrounds; some ride the bus in from far away neighborhoods and some live across the street. We are a blended special education and bilingual classroom within a ninety percent free or reduced-price lunch within a school.

Pre-kindergarten is one of the most important grades in school.

It is the time when students get hooked on education. The best way to hook them is with adapted materials that will allow them to learn in an individualized way.

My Project

Our classroom is an inviting, relaxing, and fun place to be. However, we are in need of some materials to really add some hands-on fun to our learning.

We need comfortable bean bags for our library and toys for our sand & water table.

These items will give my students hands-on materials to learn (and practice) science and engineering standards as well as a comfortable place to kick their feet up and read a book.

Being able to use 'play' materials at the sand & water table will help my students think they are playing but really they will be participating in cause and effect (a key STEAM standard).
