Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

During the creative curriculum we use a sand study. Many times there are not great books to help with the study. Going with the STEM project allows the students to be able to feel and weigh the sand. Also, they can build many different things with the sand.

The spray bottles and sand will increase the fine motor skills within my classroom.

Many students have never used writing tools and these items will help build some of those skills by just playing in sand and using water spray bottles. Fine motor is a skill that is taught through interacting with peers in the sensory table.
