My Students
My students are full of potential, eager to learn, and they are curious to know about everything around them. My school is located in a very diverse neighborhood, which leads to many languages and cultures present in my classroom. Also, some of my children are under their grandparents' custody while others are children of single parents.
I am so thankful to have a chance to have them in my class.
I hope I can inspire them and help them to develop their confidence skills. I hope I can turn their negative self-concepts into one that are positive.
My Project
Having a sand and water table available to my students - including those with special needs - will allow them to explore, experiment, and develop many skills.
My preK students will have the opportunity to explore water and sand, as well as develop math, science, and problem-solving skills through meaningful and fun activities.
The sand and water promote development and teach mathematics and science. Math skills will be incorporated into the sand/water table, and children will explore measuring tools in a meaningful way. Children can also practice different math skills while developing their social skills by fishing numbers on the water table, counting them, and comparing them with their friends. Children can also explore how water travels.
Besides, children with special needs will have a great way to get textures into their hands and increases their sensory and fine motor skills.
Finally, your donation will enable all of my pre-kindergarten students to have a tool that promotes their curiosity while developing math, science, and social skills in a fun environment.
