This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school focuses on developing the potential in all our students. We believe that each student has a unique personality that can be used to build a bright future. In my classroom, I see my main responsibility as training my students to be effective members of society by facilitating a gradual increase in leadership abilities and talents. I believe each child has specific capabilities, talents, and strengths which can only be developed in a positive group environment.

My class consists students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Their science classroom is an inclusive environment where they can be explorers, scientist and teach their peers. As they develop positive learning skills, they will gain both precious critical thinking skills and specific academic insight.

My Project

The Samsung tablets attached to this project will help my students become hands-on learners. They will have the chance to use the technology we already have - digital microscopes, probes, cameras - and explore the miniature world around them.

The tablets will help students develop their own inquiry questions and conduct and active inquiry process from start to finish.

As they develop questions which can be tested through experiments, the students can determine which tools to be used and create a plan of action. The tablets will help compile the data and gather evidence in one location for each team. The evidence gathered will then be used to draw conclusions and determine further inquiry plans. Thank you for being willing to invest in my classroom and helping my students become life-long learners.
