Help me give my students the technology resources they need to continue to build out products and retain their status as the source of innovation in our rural community.
The Innovation Zone is the hub of student-created innovation in our rural community. We are a project-based facility where students work on self-created collaborative projects that cross the traditional educational contents, better preparing them for the future of work and skills.
We provide students opportunities to engage in 21st Century skills and behaviors that prove to be valuable as they transition to higher education and/or the workforce.
Technology is a key ingredient to produce such opportunities, and we are very thankful for our partners that assist in providing it.
My Project
In a collaborative learning environment the needs can be overwhelming. From shared displays (television and monitors), to cables and carts, to hand tools and giant post it notes, the diversity of the tools we utilize on a daily basis is tremendous. Thus, the expense is often overwhelming.
The resources in this list will greatly enhance our learning environment which, in return, will enhance freedom of thought as students no longer concern themselves with what they don't have access to.
In addition, resources for the educators in the building such as access to microwaves, coffee makers, etc. will boost morale and develop additional buy-in, especially considering our facility does not have either of those items at this point!
