My Students
My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges we are facing is going to back to school and staying healthy and safe.
My students need to have access to individual resources to help them stay healthy and safe within the classroom.
These resources will be given to an individual child when they need it throughout the school day to help them focus on the learning.
A large percentage of our students live in multi-family member homes, foster homes, other family members and friends' homes, and hotels/motels. These students and families may not have the financial freedoms to provide extra resources above and beyond what is in the school already. By helping provide items and supplies for our classroom, this will help make sure our students stay safe and healthy throughout the year.
My Project
The start of this school year is going to be completly different than what we are used to. This year it is required to wear masks, sanitize and wash our hands frequently and no sharing.
With these individual products, I will be able to provide my students with resources to help them stay engaged and learn while not worrying about their health.
Students will have the opportunity to use the hand sanitizers, Kleenexes, gloves, and masks throughout the school day to help them feel prepared to learn. These resources will be used throughout the school day for students that may not have the funds to pay for extra supplies needed for the school year.
