My Students

Most of my students are eager to learn French. They participate by answering and asking questions. My students also give suggestions and make recommendations for fun activities that will spark their interests.

My students may be down financially, but they are not down academically.

Despite their financial obstacles, they try to defy all odds by getting a good education. They try as best as possible to come to school as regularly as they can. They believe that education is of paramount importance in ridding them of a low-income lifestyle. They aspire for the best and for that reason, for the most part, they try their best to succeed.

Their eagerness to learn has definitely surpassed my high expectations of them. They are just amazing. Each day brings forth a new, exciting and different experience with them.

My Project

With the reopening of schools, I want to ensure that my students have all they need to learn. I requested hand soaps that the students will be able to use daily. I also requested masks that will protect the students from the virus. There are bar soaps and toothpastes that will be handed to students in need.

For the next few month, the students will be learning French music, they will be able to listen and sing along in French.

For this reason, I requested a speaker that we will be able to use inside the classroom as well as in our gymnasium (even though it doesn't look like a regular high school gym) since we don't have an auditorium. I also plan to work along with the Spanish teacher to have a mini culture concert in the gym before the school year ends where students will sing their favorite Spanish and French songs. In my cart, there are also surge protectors that will be used throughout the school year especially when we have to go to the gym.
