My students need covers for our new computers we were lucky enough to get from our district. We also need sleeves so they will be safe when transported.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Computers are a necessary part of the educational atmosphere today. We have been gifted some updated technology. I want to keep that technology safe.
I work in an urban district where the majority of our students live at or below the poverty line.
We are not often given brand new things to use. Our students deserve to have the tools necessary to keep this technology like new for as long as possible.
My Project
The materials I'm requesting will keep the new technology, computers, safe from being dropped or damaged. It is imperative that we keep these items safe. Who knows when the next time we will get new computers will be? Students need to know that there is a proper way to care for technology, and that includes keeping them in their cases and transporting them safely.
The donations will ensure that the technology is cared for properly and will be able to be used for many years to come.
If we do not get cases and protection for the new computers, it is possible they will get damaged and not be repaired and certainly will not be replaced.
