SAFETY FIRST: Help us Travel Safely

My students need safety vests to help keep them safe on field trips and make them more visible to chaperones.

My Students

My PreK3 students are some of the most amazing children I have ever met. They live in one of the most dangerous communities in our nation's capital. Everyday they walk down a hill to school where they are able to escape the violence that riddles their neighborhood. They attend a Title I school where 100% of the population receives free lunch. Despite all of the challenges that face outside the school walls, they still come to school each day ready and excited to learn.

My Project

Most of us can probably remember the joy of taking field trips in school and how much fun it was to be out of the building. What we didn't realize as kids though was how stressful and scary it is for the teacher trying to keep track of all of the students and ensuring their safety.

These safety vests will help keep all of our Pre-Kindergarten students safe when we take our field trips to parks and zoos and anywhere else we decide to go.

The bright colored pinnies will help teachers and chaperones pick their students out of a crowd very easily and ensure that all students are accounted for and safe.
