My Project
For my student-athletes, cheerleading is more than just a sport - it's an extended family. It's a place where they feel safe, supported, and empowered. The 2025-2026 season marks a historic moment for our team - it's the first time we ever head to competition! This is a monumental step for a group of students who have poured their hearts into building a program that feels more like an extended family than a team.
This project is essential to making that dream a reality.
However, we face significant obstacles. Our school is facing its second consecutive year of budget cuts, leaving our program with extremely limited resources. Compounding this, our students come from a neighborhood that has faced significant socio-economic hardships limiting their families' ability to contribute, meaning for many of my students, this team is their only chance to access opportunities outside of school.
This project is foundational to our success and, most importantly, our safety. To compete at a higher level, our athletes need the proper equipment, like safety mats and training aids, to practice advanced skills without risk of injury. Your donation will provide these essential tools. Furthermore, the Cricut Maker 4 will help us launch our own fundraising campaigns to help offset the significant costs of uniforms, competition fees, and travel.
