Safety and Fun in the Science Classroom

Help me give my students assurance of having having filtered air, water, and ice in my classroom.

My Students

My students are awesome! They are very service oriented. Every December, the students raise money (around $200,00 per year) for a charity, doing odd jobs for money in the community, donating loose change, and donating personal money earned from after school jobs. Each student has been impacted by the pandemic of COVID-19. Some keep their anxiety inside, while others wear it on their face. All have struggled in some way.

My Project

With your donation, I will purchase an ice maker, water purifier (our school water tastes yucky), and classroom air purifier. I will also purchase some additional filters for these items. The ice will also be used in student experiments.

Clean air and purified drinking water will help students feel safer in my chemistry classroom during the COVID-19 pandemic.

My students are concerned about their well-being in the classroom. It is the little things that count to help students impacted by the pandemic.

Also, as we all feel a little anxious because of the uncertainties of the pandemic, I want to purchase a few fun science-themed decorations to make my room feel more welcoming and fun. I will purchase easy-to-remove wallpaper for a fun wall section, and some science themed posters (that are pun-ny!).
