This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love learning about anything science related. What a joy it would be to be able to have them safely watch the great solar eclipse of 2024. Although we are not in the line of totality, they will be able to see about 90% of it.

Watching the solar eclipse safely during the school day would be something my students will never forget.

These safety glasses would provide them with that opportunity. The books will give them background information they need to learn about what is happening before they watch it. The solar eclipse model will help them to understand why it happens and will provide them with a better understanding of what they will be watching. The UV color changing beads and elastic cord will be used to make a memorable bracelet.
