Help me give my students learning materials such as jumbo pencils, unifix cubes, and dice, that that they can keep at their desks for personal use in order to learn in a safe way during in-classroom learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a diverse group of little learners. Our school is an inner-city neighborhood school. A high percentage of my students come from low-income families and 100% of the students at our school receive free lunch. My students work hard and are excited to come to school each day and grow together.
Our Kindergarteners love hands-on learning experiences and during these uncertain times, we want to learn in the safest way possible.
My Project
My students will use the materials requested to help develop their foundational reading, writing, and math skills. During this uncertain time, my young students need hands-on learning materials that they can keep safety at their own seat for personal use.
We will use dice and unifix cubes for developmental math skills and pencils and notebooks for reading and writing!
In order to keep my students safe, each student will be given a set for their personal use.
We are excited to get back to learning, whatever that may look like. We want to be as safe as possible, while still learning the way young children to best... through hands on experiences!
