Help me give my students a safer way to share class supplies. This year's pandemic has forced us to rethink our ways. We can share yet not touch each other's supplies.
My students are a group of highly motivated and hard working readers. They come from all demographics and varying socioeconomic levels. There are three students who have specific learning challenges, two students on a behavior plan who struggle to achieve the most basic day-to-day goals, a gifted student, and a student who never went to any kind of school before first grade. I have ten ELL students in the class. It is a very diverse group of students with each and every one with needs very specific to them. They are wonderful learners whose eyes brighten up whenever they have the opportunity to read a book. They have a thirst for knowledge and I admire their perseverance.
My Project
This Create-a-Space Storage Center is going to help keep supplies in the classroom at a safe distance from each other. We have to work together in avoiding the return of this pandemic. By storing supplies in separate holders we keep them at a safe distance. That way we will minimize spread of the virus in the classroom. The storage center can also hold a bottle of hand sanitizer. My students will have the opportunity to share their supplies while keeping their hands free of germs and virus thus ensuring everyone's health and safety.
