My Project

In preschool, we are growing our brains and learning to regulate our emotions while staying safe. Our school needs a safe space where students can go when they are dealing with their big emotions. This Sensory Room will be a place where our preschoolers can go when they need a break from the classroom. We are hoping to provide our preschoolers stepping stones, sit and stand spin toys, magnetic alphabet maze board and a trampoline for a safe space sensory room. These resources will help us calm down and return to class safely. We want to make sure that our preschoolers can come to school their healthiest, happiest selves!

Time in a Sensory Room helps children improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as fine and gross motor skills.

By providing a sense of calm and comfort, sensory rooms help children learn to self-regulate their behaviors, which ultimately improves focus. Anyone will be able to visit the Sensory Room in order to help us to remember to always be kind to our friends and to always stay safe.
