This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come in like little sponges - ready to soak up all we have to teach them, regardless of their starting points. I'm looking forward to a new year with bright shiny faces depending on me!
Most children come from low-income families and the entire district gets free breakfast and lunch.
The situations the children come from do not provide them with an educational foundation however, their willingness and excitement about learning are not diminished. Although the students come from neighborhoods all over the city, we have a safe learning community that everyone contributes to.
My Project
As we return to full in person school I want to keep my students safe and healthy with their own school supplies. The students in our district come from low income homes and I want to make sure everyone has what they need.
