My Project
With an increasing amount of inclement weather in Tulsa - ranging from extreme heat to ice storms - it is more important than ever for students to have access to indoor recess activities.
During indoor recess, students need access to activities that both get them moving AND are safe to do in the classroom.
The movement dice, movement cards, dancing scarves, and yoga posters provide multiple structured physical activities that my Kindergartners can use when our recess time is moved indoors. I have also included a set of recess materials (cones, rings, bean bags, etc.) that I can set up indoors OR outdoors to help students practice gross motor skills that are crucial for their physical development.
