Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 4th and 5th grade students are a diverse and integrated group of learners. In our Spanish Dual Language class, some students come from Spanish speaking families, but many students do not. Some students receive special seduction services, while others do not. Students' families come from all over the world and speak many different languages.
My students love to work together on creative projects, although this year our creative learning will look very different than it has in the past.
My Project
Our schools will be following a hybrid model this year. That means that a group of students will be learning both at school and at home. These materials will be used for the students who will be coming to school. Given social distancing requirements, students will be spending a lot more of the school day sitting at their table spots.
Flexible seating choices will give them different options of where to sit, or help to make their seat more comfortable.
Other materials will be used to create personal supply bins for each student.
