Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative and inquisitive by nature. My student’s come from low economic homes and struggles with academics.
Despite their challenges, they are hard working and eager to learn.
The 2021-2022 school year has presented them with unforeseen challenges. We are a Title I school, with minimal resources. I have a self-contained class across 3 grade levels. Each student needs a specific academic learning plan aligned to individual IEP goals. Due to these needs, a multitude of materials are necessary for student growth. Any addition to our classroom is greatly appreciated.
My Project
My students have a wonderful attitude towards learning. If we could increase wiping down our desks in commonly used areas throughout the day that would help keep our attendance high.
Students learn best when they are present in school.
These materials would help make my classroom a safe, and clean environment for all learners.
Covid-19 cases are currently on the rise, help me to decrease the chances of my students being exposed in class. Each student will also receive their own individual pencils pouch and dry erase marker to eliminate sharing materials. This will also keep my students happy and healthy in their favorite place.
