My Students
Our students come from a variety of countries, economics, as well as 100% of our students receiving free breakfast, lunch and snack. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Detroit.
Each day is a new day and each child comes to school ready to take on whatever comes next.
As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics. Despite the many challenges my students have a love of learning.
My Project
During this COVID! pandemic, I have to adjust to new ways of keeping my students safe. I have chosen to keep all their supplies separate which is why I am asking for individual seat sacks. By using individual seat sacks, students will not have to share supplies and there will be no worries about cross-contamination with sleeping supplies or school supplies.
This school year is changing & preventing germs is one BIG way we are changing.
Keeping their own materials right behind their seat is also an efficient matter to cut down on time being wasted in the classroom by looking for what they need. They will have it right behind them and ready to use. Keeping their cot materials within a bag in the cot cupboard will help with a tricky time during the day and keeping their cot materials germ free.
