This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first grade teacher at a Title I school in a low-income, high-poverty school district where 99% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. These students overcome adversity every day when they simply walk through the classroom door.
My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom, and yet, they are always excited to come to school each morning and are willing and ready to learn.
I love taking any opportunity to give my students what will help them be prepared and ready for the future.
My students are saying..."I can't find my book! I lost my paper! My paper ripped! I don't have my journal!". Help my students make more room and get organized with their school materials. Each student has countless books, a thick pencil bag, folders and journals and they are running out of space in their desk. With the help of a chair pocket, they will be able to organize their belongings and put their folders and journals away. It will make additional moving space for their books and pencil bag. In addition, they won't lose their papers and they will stay safe from rips and wrinkles.
