This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students have never used a measuring cup or helped cook in the kitchen. I want to give my students the ability to read a recipe and learn the difference between safe a toxic materials.

What better way to use clay than create our own safe environmentally friendly clay?

My K-2 students are still learning many life skills. Help me teach them two important ones: reading recipes and knowing the difference between safe and toxic ingredients. I know my students will love not only creating with the clay, but learning how to make it.
