My Project
At CSKYWLA, our mission is to provide comprehensive support to our students, who are primarily from high-poverty communities with limited resources. Serving as a second home, our school focuses on addressing students' social, academic, and emotional needs to ensure they are well-prepared to excel academically. The Safe and Supported Group for Girls will focus on providing coping skills and activities for students who are struggling socially and emotionally.
The Safe and Supportive Group for Girls (SSGG) is a dedicated program aimed at supporting students who are facing significant emotional challenges.
Whether dealing with feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, the loss of a loved one, or daily emotional struggles, this group provides a safe and supportive environment for participants. The goals are to provide emotional support, develop coping skills, foster peer connections, enhance emotional resilience, encourage self-expression, and build a sense of belonging.
By achieving these goals, SSGG aims to support the emotional well-being of students, helping them to cope with their challenges and succeed both academically and personally.
