Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inquisitive and full of ideas that are ready to bloom if given the opportunity. Most of the students in my classroom are considered to be At Risk because they come from an economically disadvantaged household. We live in a border town so we also get a lot of recent immigrants where the learning opportunities were not offered to them in their home country. I see their curiosity when we are working in our classroom stations and they are always anxious to see what we will be doing next. I enjoy challenging their creativeness and see how far they will let their imagination takes them.
After experiencing this pandemic, I want the students to feel safe and secure in the classroom since this is the place where they will be spending the majority of their day.
I also want the parents to know that everything possible is being done to keep their child safe at school by providing them with these portable desk shields.
My Project
I want to provide my students with the same safety and security that they have at their home. In order to do this, I want to be able to provide each student with a desk shield to make them feel more secure in the place where they will be spending the majority of their day. I do not want the students to be stressing about their health while learning should be their priority. These desk shields are ideal for social distance requirements and to help stop the spread of germs.
