My Students
My students are 7th graders at our middle school in the rural (although quickly expanding) town of Star, Idaho! Their demographics vary and they arrive from two neighboring cities in Idaho in addition to Star. This makes for quite an exciting and diverse culture. They come to school ready to learn and give their personal best! This is achieved by focusing on kindness, respect, responsibility, and safety.
We are the Star Cowboys, ready each day to "Saddle Up for Success!"
My Project
When my 7th graders come through my door, they need to feel confident that they have the necessary materials to be productive. However, middle schools are built with a mindset of space conservation. This means regular classrooms often lack sinks for cleaning hands, as well as certain sanitary items such as tissues, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes for materials.
My students need these materials because honestly--no matter what age--KIDS are KIDS, and we all know kids can get messy!
These supplies would enable them to focus on academics and not worry about the sniffles and the spills that are inenvitable!
