This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Before we've even had a chance to start a fundraiser or have a parent meeting, we need stuff in our classroom! These items will ensure that instrument mouthpiece testing and the first weeks of school have a smooth start. Beginning band students need to try all the mouthpieces before they can even decide what instrument to play!
These additional kits will make sure we have a full class set so no students have to sit out due to lack of kits.
Before making a final decision, they need reeds to try a real clarinet or saxophone. Our first fundraiser doesn't start until September, so these reeds mean we won't have to wait to purchase the real reeds and then we can get started on real instruments (not just mouthpieces) sooner!
