This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in a low-income area where eighty percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches. Many of my students are second language learners. Most of them do not have any school experience before entering kindergarten, but they don't let that hold them back. They crave social interaction and an opportunity to express themselves.

My students are kind and hardworking children who enjoy playing and discovering with friends.

They are always motivated and have a very positive attitude toward learning.

My Project

I am requesting some more face masks to keep my kindergarten students germ-free and healthy during this Covid school year. My students are required to wear masks throughout the day. They go through at least three disposable masks a day. They need a lot of masks! I am trying to keep my students clean and healthy so they can come to school every day to learn and be happy despite this difficult pandemic. I do not want them to fall behind in learning. Your help in keeping my kindergarten students clean and healthy is greatly appreciated.
