This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a lot of the students who come from high poverty homes. We would love to see the students engaged in their learning and get the most out of their education. We integrate our units/lessons with science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

These students are learning the 1st grade curriculum as well as learning skills to help them in their every day lives.

These students are eager to learn and just need a couple of necessary items to help this.

My Project

As the school year is going on we are running short on some supplies. Students are in need of dry erase erasers along with dry erase markers for their white boards. They are using dry erase boards daily during our reading centers when practicing our sight words/ spelling words for the week. These students are eager to learn, however coming from a low poverty background many parents or guardians are not able to afford the supplies we need in our classroom to help our students learn. Students are also running low on pencils which we need every day for our classroom during writing or a simple worksheet they are working on.
