Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our kids are doing very well. We are in the process of practicing. However, in the meets, we will need spiked shoes for running and competing on a track. It is very dangerous to run on a track without these shoes.

These shoes will also give us a sense of belonging during competition.

We are grateful and honored. This is so rewarding to my students.

The goal is for students to run faster with positive traction while maintaining balance. My athletes are very special. They are special because they work very hard each practice to get better. They are already labelled as underdogs in all sports here at our school and are having to overcome a lot of obstacles.
