My Project

My students are special to me because they are courageous, bold, and risk-takers! They love to learn and get excited to participate and gain new knowledge without being fearful of being wrong, but taking the time to accept their mistakes and work through them. Unfortunately, not all of them can afford snacks and we have an early lunch at 10 am. By the afternoon, students are losing energy due to hunger and I want to meet their needs to keep their tanks fueled for the remainder of the day! There are times I can afford to buy snacks for the class stash when a student needs one, but most times I am not able to provide that for them. My goal is to be consistent with making sure they are not going hungry, so they can maintain that zeal and love for learning throughout the day! If their physical and emotional needs are not being met, then they are not able to properly learn.
