My Students
Every day we go through "The Daily 5" rotations. These rotations consist of: read to self, work on writing, word work, listen to reading and meet with the teacher. The more students interact with books, the stronger reader they will be.
My students are very energetic and eager to learn.
They love to be hands-on with materials we are learning about. They also love using technology to learn.
I teach at a very low income Title I school. All kids receive free lunch and breakfast.
Saying that, they are very grateful for things that are given to them, no matter how big or small. In some cases, the classroom is the only consistency they have in their life. In my classroom and in my school, we are a family. We support each other in all that we do.

My Project
The teacher in the classroom before left behind four tablets that she received through DonorsChoose. I would like to do my very best to take care of the tablets and keep them charged, so they are ready for use during "listen to reading" and "word work" stations. The cases will help prevent cracks to the screens and allow the cases to be better protected if the tablets fall. I only have one charger for the four tablets, so it hard to keep the tablets ready for use. Having more chargers available to me, I can plug all the tablets in overnight to have them ready for the following day.
Students will be able to get more use out the tablets and more will be ready for use at a time.
Tablets will be charged over night, or if more than tablet runs low on battery, students are continuing working while the tablet is charged. Tablet cases will allow the tablets to function longer without damage. The tablets need to remain in the best condition as possible, so students can get the most use out of them.
