My Students
Despite challenging circumstances, my students come to class enthusiastic and ready to learn. Our classroom chant is, "Our Room is the cutest, the smartest, and the best behaved!" They truly are the best group of third graders and I adore every one of them. My students are inspiring and persevere through any obstacle that comes their way.
My goal is for all of my students to be comfortable, while feeling safe and secure within the classroom.
They are the future and I would like to enable them with the skills to succeed.
My Project
Rugs are a necessity for whole group instruction. They create a safe, organized environment for learning. They help students feel comfortable interacting with their peers. Peer conversations are the basis of learning language skills and interacting with others.
A classroom rug will build a community of learners and an engaging learning environment.
It will help the classroom appear cozy and inviting. A warm environment will help my kids do their best work.
Moving into a 21st century learning environment will be easier with the addition of a comfortable, colorful rug. Students often want to work on the floor, but it is hard and uncomfortable. I would like to give them flexible seating options.
