This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the privilege of teaching Math and Science to 90 amazing students. My students and I are passionate about math and science. As they walk through the door they're asking about our learning!

My students come to school with a thirst for knowledge.

I love seeing my students walk into my classroom with big smiles and full of excitement. They are eager to solve complex math problems and engage in scientific work.

My students are passionate, self -driven learners!

My Project

Having a common gathering space to host our morning meetings as well as to deliver my daily lessons is crucial to our classroom learning.

We start the day by having a morning meeting.

Morning meetings helps build classroom community. It's a safe place where students get to share out. It also allows for students to build on those essential skills, such as being an active listener and public speaking. Morning meetings are also great because they set the tone for the day allowing students to know what to expect and if there have been any changes to our daily schedule.
