My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Even though they face these challenges, I want to set each and every student up for success.

I have anywhere between 20 and 24 amazing students in my classroom during the year that deserve the best learning environment they can get.

Each and every student deserve the chance to show their abilities to be the best student that they can be.

My Project

During our school day students will often sit on the floor. This can be for a lesson in reading, math, and social skills. It will be used during a read aloud, as well as, class meetings. A rug will not only add to the welcoming atmosphere of our classroom, but allow comfortable seating while my students are on the floor.

It is amazing how much a rug adds to a classroom.

A rug brings in an extra pop of color and gives an inviting place for students. Not to mention a little cushion to the tushion. My students will enjoy having a designated place to sit that is geared towards an intermediate grade level.
