My Project

Middle school is a time of significant change and, oftentimes, stress, for students. On any given day, students are dealing with switching classes, getting used to a new environment, adjusting to the expectations of multiple teachers, a heavier workload, and navigating potentially confusing social situations, to name just a few! It’s no wonder middle school anxiety is common. A mindful calming setting will allow children to feel safe and open and students will be armed with the ability to better handle negative thoughts and remain balanced and positive throughout adversity. They feel great about themselves and know how to handle worries and stress.

The process of putting together the calming corner is going to be long with lots of pieces but is possible with the help of heartfelt donors. Please consider helping me meet the needs of my students who need extra support and love by starting with this rug and doormat.
