My Students

This year marks a year of change and adventure. After ten years teaching in another district, I am moving to a new district to start a new and exciting adventure. With a new adventure comes new and exciting students to meet and learn more about!

The students in my classroom are rising 3rd graders who are venturing from a primary school and entering the intermediate school for the first time!

Having students come from diverse family and socioeconomic backgrounds, I have noticed that my students excel coming together and learning as a classroom community with choice and options for learning.

My Project

During the instructional day, my students come to the carpet many times each day. Our classroom carpet is a place where read alouds are shared, instruction is presented, and character building lessons are learned. Having a nice and comfortable place to sit for whole group instruction is the goal of this project.

I would like my students to feel comfortable in the space that is provided and have a bright and colorful rug to match their vibrate personalities.

A new rug will provide all of these things to help grow and enhance my students as learners this year in my classroom!
