This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love having a classroom carpet where students can gather together to learn and explore. But there are some downsides like they take up quite a bit of floor space and are not the most hygienic. So how can I provide my students a seating option without the fuss? Carpet spots!

These carpet spots will give my students a comfortable, flexible seating option that can be used in a variety of ways.

Carpet spots can be used during whole group lessons, read-alouds, group/partner work, tech time, and more.

This flexible seating option will allow my students to take charge of their learning and help them to make choices that work best for them. They can choose to work in a variety of locations in our room that will help boost engagement, decrease disruptions, and be neatly tucked away each day. Help give my students a choice that can positively affect their performance!
