This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am seeking support to provide my students with a vibrant classroom rug that will transform their learning environment. A well-chosen rug can create a cozy and inviting space for students to engage in their academic activities in a less traditional seating arrangement.
By incorporating this rug into our classroom, we will foster a sense of community and collaboration among the students.
It will encourage them to gather together for group discussions, reading sessions, and collaborative projects, allowing them to connect in a more dynamic way. The comfort of sitting on a rug, rather than traditional desks and chairs, will also help create a relaxed atmosphere that is conducive to learning and creativity.
Furthermore, a colorful and engaging rug can stimulate students’ imaginations and spark their enthusiasm for learning. It will serve as a central piece in our classroom, promoting not only academic engagement but also social interactions and a sense of belonging. I believe this small change can have a significant impact on their overall classroom experience and learning outcomes.
