My Project

This rug will invite students to participate and engage in our mini-lessons, read alouds, and other activities. It will provide them with a comfortable spot for them to learn and feel safe in school. Having flexible seating options helps us meet the various needs and preferences of the learners in our classroom. For example, many students have shown increased engagement with independent reading, various writing assignments, and their math work when they have the option to choose their working spots. This rug will give students a sense of agency to focus and attend to the task at hand.
