My Students
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go." – Dr. Seuss. These phonics activities will help my students learn their letters, sounds, and start building cvc words. This will be their ticket to get them started on their road to reading.
My students are curious about the world around them.
I am proud to teach a very active and inquisitive group of kindergarten students. We are a blended "family" in our classroom. This "family" includes ESOL students, several speech students who receive services for processing and articulation, students with learning and emotional disabilities, and students with other health impairments such as ADHD.
My Project
The Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs will help my students identify and sort miniature items that begin with letters written on the tubs. The Float and Find Bubbles will help students improve fine motor skills while also practicing letter sound association.
Many students enter kindergarten with a very limited vocabulary.
These materials will increase vocabulary because they are miniatures of actual items seen in books they love to read. Students will enjoy the fun activities while improving skills phonetically and building vocabulary. They are sure to bubble with excitement that they learn using these materials.
