My Project

As a teacher in a low-income school, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Even though they face these challenges, I want to set each and every student up for success.

Each and every student deserves the chance to show their abilities to be the best student that they can be.

During the year, I have anywhere between twenty-five and thirty amazing students in my classroom that deserve the best learning environment they can get.

In the world that we live in students need to learn how to use technology. The Sphero RvR Rover is the starting place for students to learn basic coding. This particular device will allow all students whether they are brand new to our country and just learning English, to my lower level readers, even to my high achievers to learn how to begin coding. This particular device can be used for strategizing how to get from point A to point B in the most efficient way. This RvR and attachment kit will allow my students to strategies as a team how to problem solve and use the Little Bits to get around or work through and obstacle. There are so many real-life applications that can be brought in to the classroom like introducing the Mars Rover and how it runs into obstacles that the people working for NASA need to work around. Something on another planet that has real life application for my students today can help spark ideas and dreams for their future.
