My Students

My marine biology students are amazing! We live in a fast growing rural community that is far from any marine environment. This, however, does not inhibit their curiosity or desire to explore and learn about marine environments. Most of my students have never visited the ocean, but their inquisitive nature drives great discussions and appreciation for these important systems.

My Project

My students will be able to participate in real world science roles by actively engaging in marine biology based STEM lessons.

Students will explore the thrill and challenge of discovering underwater environments while developing problem solving solutions.

Using the ROV students will have the ability to observe and collect specimens in a sustainable manner through simulation and practical applications.

Students will be able to use the ROV in a variety of lessons, each lesson designed to instill curiosity and wonder in the marine environments they are studying. Lesson environments will range from pool use to local streams and lakes.
