My Project
My goal for this project is to create a warm and inviting place for our class to come together face to face in a circle. This will be an alternative seating area away from tables and the front of the room. It will be used for morning meetings, restorative circles, small group instruction, and alternative seating during independent work time. My students are new to country English Language Learners. Some of them have had limited or interrupted formal education in their home country. Classes that will benefit from this project are Language Academy 2.0 Foundations, Language Academy 2.0 Language and Literacy, and Language Academy 1.5 Social Studies.
