My Students

When you walk into a classroom, you should automatically be able to sense what type of mood is set. My classroom feels more like a home than a classroom. Our class works together as a family and not just as individual students.

My third grade students are life-long learners.

They enjoy coming to school and learning new things. They are able to come to school prepared to do their very best work. They work as a team in order to collaborate to meet their learning goals.

My Project

At our school we focus on 21st Century skills. These include communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. These skills allow students to be successful not only in school, but in the future as well.

Giving students the tools they need to be successful will be something that they can take with them wherever they go.

In order to increase these skills, I encourage a lot of discussion and working together.

I am asking for two round tables so my students can collaborate and work with one another during class. Currently, my students are spread around the room during independent practice, but these tables would be a great addition to our classroom to encourage effective communication skills. With your help, my students will be able to become effective members of society.
