Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help us transform our classroom into a space that offers our little movers and shakers more opportunities for safe exploration and play! Our students are curious and fun, and we hope to foster these qualities in a setting that provides them with more independence by smoothing some of our rough edges, both literally and figuratively.
We need supplies such as bean bags, padding, and flexible seating options to ensure that all of our learners can access their curriculum in a safe and authentic manner.
Our classroom friends are still learning to move with independence, regulate their feelings and emotions, and to navigate the classroom setting safely, so having materials that reduce risk of injury and provide visual parameters, while offering them a literal soft landing, will allow them to make mistakes with low stakes consequences.
