My Students

My students are truly an amazing group of children this year. We have worked hard on creating a classroom culture of inclusion and respect throughout our year together. We have come to view each other not only as individuals but also as a part of the family that makes up our classroom.

Mrs. Roper's Rockstars, that's the nickname my students have chosen for themselves this year, and they have certainly lived up to it!

My students are respectful, engaged, and most importantly passionate about their learning.

My Project

We are looking to updated and expand our classroom library with high quality diverse literature. 4th grade is a big jump for students from being able to learn to read to reading to learn and I want to provide students with quality literature that will expand their reading. I believe that having quality books available for students to read are important to spark to love of reading!

My plans for this project is to provide my students with a great classroom library for them to fall into love with books just as much as I have!

My students have a passion for reading this year and have already read through many of our picture books in our library! I'd love to provide them with additional books to continue their intrigue throughout the year.
